Wisdom For Debris
In 2013 I successfully funded a book entitled, “Wisdom For Debris” on Kickstarter. It was released in May of 2014.
“Wisdom For Debris” is an art book of sparse words and introspective pictures. The loosely structured “story” offers poetic snippets of philosophical memories following the idea of the loss of a child’s imagination as he or she grows old. Picture a civilization of imaginary friends migrating towards a great emptiness that rides on the shoulders of adulthood. A sort of yesterday’s best friend fading into tomorrow’s forgotten memory. An existentialist search for meaning as the end draws near. Wisdom For Debris is a comfortable place to rest one’s tired eyes and take in lost thoughts.
This book is currently out of print as I sold out of all the copies that I made. Thanks to everyone who supported the campaign and helped bring it to light. Click here to visit the project on Kickstarter.

I was once told
buried thoughts
flawed grey impressions
momentary ghosts
as if by strings
through the hollow spaces in our hearts
primitive text and infinite numbers
with a lasting spirit of collapse
despite the illusion of sequence and form
such ideas are often whispered with tired voices
idle passengers
migration
echo
hope
haunted by the promise of an unknown passage
we are not alone
so asleep in our dreams
rising shades of endless beauty
held up to set fire to the black that surrounds closed eyes
ancient inconsistencies
passive resistance
the message has passed
figure one
take two
gathered by those less reserved in their theories
lost enough to listen or quiet enough to hear
last known ship
unbeknownst
even the stars
far away amongst a tide of comforting noise
etched upon solitude
low enough to look up and see
mourned
an abandoned belief
regret
the ruins
folded in the static
once the idea has been revealed
lavish words and guarded movements
only in faint pause
a funeral of fading memories
a weary act of persuasion
fragile spectacle
reinvention
rising to meet the waking answer
all told
as tomorrow bends back on today
